Maskne; What is it and what is causing it?
In a nutshell maskne is acne and irritation from wearing a mask and as that’s the new normal, many of us our suffering with it. So, what can you do?
We suggest choosing a mask that is 100% cotton; it allows skin to breathe a bit. As the temperature rises you will sweat more, becoming a vicious cycle. Have a few of these masks tso you will always have a clean one at hand. You need to treat it like underwear and wash it frequently!!
Try wearing less make-up, or ditch it altogether! The heat from wearing a mask will not help the application and you can only really see the top half of your face, so instead invest in good quality skincare that will see you through. Don’t overdo your skincare. As soon as we see an outbreak we try to throw everything at it to make it go away, this will not help. Tone it down and avoid to many new products all at once.
